The agreement provides services to manage the relocation of the household and office effects of all eligible customers throughout NSW.

What's covered

This contract provides for the removal of household and office effects for relocating staff. It ensures that department-funded moves are competitively quoted by an accredited removalist. Goods are fully insured and storage is available if required.

Services include the overall coordination of the relocation including:

  • communications with eligible customers being relocated
  • providing pre-removal advice in relation to the logistics of the relocation
  • invitations of quotations for removal services
  • coordination and planning of the uplift, storage and delivery of household or office effects
  • verification of security checks
  • administration of all insurance claims
  • accreditation and ongoing monitoring of removalist against standards
  • performance monitoring and reporting.

These services are to be carried out in accordance with:

  • all relevant policies, regulations and guidelines of the Australian Furniture Removers Associations of NSW (AFRA)
  • NSW WorkCover regulations
  • DECCW regulations
  • Occupational Health and Safety Act 2000.

What you need to know

For a flat administration fee plus insurance and storage fees (if required) Wridgways Pty Limited (T/A Move Dynamics) will organise the removal of household or office effects.

They are responsible for:

  • a removal package to the client
  • obtain a minimum of 3 quotes from Australian Furniture Removalist Association (AFRA) accredited removalist
  • provide expert pre-removal advice to the client
  • arrange for pre-removal inspections (in most cases)
  • arrange support services through their numerous depots throughout NSW
  • administration of all insurance claims (claims resulting from work performed under the contract must be addressed no later than 7 working days upon receiving written notification and/or claim)
  • monitoring the client's removal and track all inventory during the move
  • arranging storage (if required)
  • managing all invoicing (including removal cost)
  • removalist accreditation:  The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that all removalists performing work under the contract perform such services to the industry standards set down by AFRA and all removalists engaged under the contract must be AFRA accredited
  • providing full details of their methods of quality assurance and monitoring programs including the specified standard against which removalists are assessed
  • providing a current statistical report for their department/agency showing total number of moves per month when required
  • providing a guarantee against all losses, and/or administration errors to the satisfaction of the ordering officer and that the client's household or office effects have been delivered to the correct destination point in good/same order, as stipulated on the client's inventory list and accepted by the client.

Insurance

The supplier has arranged with a reputable insurance company:

  • broad form of public and product liability insurance limit of indemnity: $10 million each
  • property insurance (covering the contractor for any loss or damage to any property used directly or indirectly in relation to the provision of the services for their full replacement value): $5 million
  • transit insurance: $1 million.

The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that all insurance claims resulting from work performed under the contract are addressed no later than 7 working days upon receiving written notification or claim.

The contractor will provide full details to all clients on how the terms and conditions of all insurance policy claims are to be administered and settled.  This information is to be included in the contractors documentation information package.

Who's eligible to buy

This contract is a mandatory, whole-of-government agreement.

All NSW Government agencies are eligible

This means that all NSW Government agencies are eligible to use – and must use – this contract when buying removalist services.

Non-agency buyers may also be eligible

You don’t have to be a NSW Government agency to buy under NSW Government contracts, panels and contracts.

But you do have to apply to become an eligible non-agency buyer. Once approved, you'll get an authorised buyer identification number (NSWBuy number). Use this number to buy through NSW Government schemes and contracts.

Print catalogues

The supplier may be able to provide hard copy catalogues of the products available for supply under the contract.  These are free of charge to customers on a reasonable request basis.

The information in the catalogues will be regularly updated by the supplier through newsletters and other bulletins to ensure that customers are kept up to date on changes to the range of products available.

Pricing

Contact supplier for pricing. Prices may change in accordance with the price variation conditions of the contract if there are any.

Variations

The following price variation conditions apply:

  • The contractor may only seek to vary the price of a service listed in schedule 3 in accordance with the frequencies and methodology indicated in schedule 3. Subject to the contractor having provided the NSW Procurement Board with sufficient documentation to justify the application, and subject to clause 13.1.2(a), the Board may in writing, approve the application within 30 days of lodgement.
  • Price variations approved by the Board shall apply to all customer contracts made on or after the date upon which the Board publishes the varied price.
  • Where the price variation is accepted, schedule 3 will include the varied price.  The varied price becomes the basis from which any future applications for price variations will be calculated.

The Board reserves the right to delete a service from schedule 3 if it considers a price variation application to be unreasonable.

Notwithstanding any other provision in this agreement, the contractor may apply in writing to the Board to decrease its prices at any time without any supporting documentation.

Ordering

Registered NSW Government contract users can order goods and services directly with the supplier. NSW Government agencies are also required to contact the supplier directly with regards to engaging their services.

By placing an order, an organisation is entering into a contract with the supplier and, as a minimum, the following information should be included in the official order:

  • contract number and name
  • name and address of supplier and customer
  • NSWBuy number
  • customer’s order number
  • date of order and date of delivery
  • item, product code, contract price, quantity and any accessories.

You need to quote your NSWBuy number each time you purchase from NSW Government contracts.  If you are unsure of your NSWBuy number, please contact NSW Procurement Service Centre.

Pre-removal advice and documentation

The contractor shall provide an information package to all clients requiring removal under the contract.  The package will include :

  • inventory documentation for completion by the client
  • pre-removal advice to the client
  • any other documentation including insurance coverage to assist the client in completing the inventory or understanding their responsibilities during all stages of the removal process
  • details of ‘special items’ not removed by the removalist
  • electronic customer survey  (this survey forms part of the contractor’s performance monitoring, and evaluating reporting).

Regions

Central West (CW)

In the centre of the region is the Bathurst-Orange area and to the east the Blue Mountains.   The western area extends to the Lachlan river and the town of Condobolin.  The region also contains the urban areas of Parks, Forbes and Cowra.

Far West (FW)

This vast region contains the unincorporated area of NSW and is bounded by the Queensland and South Australian borders.  Included is the city of Broken Hill.  The Darling River passes through the region from the north-east to the south.

Hunter (HT)

The Hunter Region contains the Hunter River and its tributaries with highland areas to the north and south.  The Hunter Valley is one of the largest river valleys on the NSW Coast.

Illawarra (IL)

The Illawarra region contains the urban areas of Wollongong and Nowra, and the Minnamurra and Shoalhaven river valleys.  To the west of the coastal plain is a long escarpment that leads to very rugged terrain in the Shoalhaven areas.

Murrumbidgee (MG)

The region is traversed by the Murrumbidgee River and contains the Murrumbidgee and other irrigation areas.  Wagga Wagga is the major urban centre in the region.

Murray (MR)

The Murray River on the NSW border forms the southern boundary of the region.  The terrain varies from flat in the western and central areas to very rugged on the eastern border. The main urban centre in the region is Albury.

Mid-North Coast (NC)

The Mid-North Coast region covers a coastal strip of NSW and includes the Manning, Hastings, Clarence and Macleay river valleys.

Northern (NR)

The region contains the Northern Tablelands, the northern slopes to the west of the tablelands, and the north central plans.

North Western (NW)

The large region contains diverse topography, with flat plans to the west, undulating slopes in the centre and elevated areas extending from the central tablelands in the east.  The region includes the Bogan, Macquarie and Castlereagh river basins.

Richmond-Tweed (RT)

The Richmond and Tweed coastal river basins and the Upper Clarence River valley dominate this region.  To the west is the New England plateau and to the north the McPherson range.

South Eastern (SE)

Comprises the far south coast of NSW, the southern tablelands and the Snowy Mountains.  The region contains the Clyde, Moruya, Turross and Bega river valleys.

How to manage complaints and disputes

If a complaint or dispute occurs, both the buyer and the supplier must first seek resolution at the agency level.
