Updated: 28 Jan 2022

New suppliers have been added to contract 864.

The Department of Customer Services advises it has added 2 new suppliers to Contract 864 Cloud Purchasing Arrangements.

These suppliers have been approved to supply infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and associated professional services via the public cloud delivery model for NSW Government buyers.

The new suppliers are:

  • Macquarie Telecom Pty Ltd (Macquarie Government)
  • Google Australia Pty Ltd

They join the 4 existing suppliers approved on the contract:

  • Amazon Web Services Inc
  • IBM Australia Ltd
  • Microsoft Australia Holdings Pty Ltd
  • Vault Systems Pty Ltd

The CPAs are a suite of whole-of-government contracts established to make it faster, easier, and cheaper for government buyers to consume cloud services.

These purchasing arrangements are aligned to NSW Government’s Cloud Policy and Strategy and also supports DCS-2021-01 Cloud Circular which requires agencies to make use of public cloud services by default.

The CPAs offer a range of benefits to customers such as:

  • whole-of-government pricing
  • discounts
  • simplified contracting
  • a broad selection of predefined products and services
  • contractual protections.
