Scope
This whole-of-government contract covers security officer services, alarm monitoring, alarm response, mobile patrols and electronic security (maintenance and installation).

Secure mail service (optional): Secure mail is an unpriced service available under the contract. The scope of the service will be developed based on the contract requirements and the individual needs of each customer.

What's not covered

The Integrated Security Services contract doesn't cover:

  • patrol vehicles
  • guard break coverage
  • specialised equipment or client uniforms
  • cash-in-transit (soft skin and armoured vehicle).

What you need to know

This contract is divided into 7 geographic regions across NSW, with a range of suppliers offering services in each region.

The Integrated Security Services contract is a standing offer arrangement or panel contract. The head agreement, managed by NSW Public Works, is for 3 years plus 4 one-year extension options.

A customer agreement can be established at any time under the open head agreement for the desired customer term and extension options (we recommend up to 5 years maximum).

The panel rates are maximum ceiling rates. When a client's purchase volume and term are provided, the supplier may offer equal or better rates. Specialised or custom services can be negotiated and included in the customer agreement by the client.

The supplier panel rates can be used casually with a purchase order for short term or low-value procurements.

Who's eligible to buy

All NSW Government agencies are eligible

This means that all NSW Government agencies are eligible to use – and must use – this contract when buying security services.

Non-agency buyers may also be eligible

You don’t have to be a NSW Government agency to buy under NSW Government schemes, panels and contracts. But you do have to apply to become an eligible non-agency buyer.

When approved as an eligible buyer, you'll get an authorised buyer identification number (NSWBuy number). Use this number to buy through NSW Government contracts and schemes.

How to buy: step by step

1. Access the pricing and contract documents

2. Engage contractors

  • NSW Public Works provides contractor price rates for the provider panel.
  • You may engage contractors using:
    • the schedule of rates for casual/short-term arrangements
    • inviting a number of suitable providers to quote via a request for quote (RFQ) process.

3. Complete a customer contract agreement form

  • Complete a customer contract agreement form with the service provider.
  • Within 10 business days of the services commencing, provide a copy to the contact person within the Asset and Facilities Management team at Public Works.

How to manage complaints and disputes

If a complaint or dispute occurs, both the buyer and the supplier must first seek resolution at the agency level.
