Why use this scheme

The benefits of the scheme are:

  • create NSW regional jobs and support specialist heritage trades
  • create a pool of experienced, expert heritage consultant services
  • create opportunities for the private sector to participate in conserving the state’s built heritage assets, some dating back more than 200 years
  • create an efficient means of linking suppliers to Public Works Advisory (PWA) regional and rural offices and to the PWA Heritage Asset Advisory team.

How to apply: step by step

You can apply to join the scheme at any time.

You can apply for more than one service category. You can work on your application over more than one session. Once you submit your application, you won't be able to make further changes.

  1. Review the scheme terms and conditions DOCX, 164.17 KB.
  2. Log in with your supplier account. If you don’t have one yet, you can sign up now.
  3. Start an application to join the scheme. You’ll need to answer questions and upload required documents.
  4. Submit your application.

You won't need to provide proof of insurance when applying.

These will be needed at time of commissioning for work.

You'll need to submit evidence of quality management processes.

A quality management process is any set of procedures or activities that control or monitor the standard of work delivered by a service provider. Consultants who operate a certified quality management system (for example to AS/NZS ISO 9001) may submit details.

But a certified QMS will not be a requirement for joining the scheme. However, all consultants and contractors must submit evidence of their quality management processes.

This may include a project quality plan or quality management plan for a given project, a sample Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) schedule or other work conformity checklist (for example testing protocols, internal review/audit process, design plan, subcontract management processes, document control process).

To ensure speedy processing of your application, please submit as many documents as you feel are relevant to your circumstance. Smaller enterprises and sole traders may submit a concise statement of their QM processes. QM terminology and general principles can be found in NSW Quality Management Systems Guidelines for Construction.
