eTendering to be replaced with new buy.nsw module in 2024
The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is replacing eTendering with a new module on buy.nsw. The go-live date of the new module is expected to be July next year.
DCS is collaborating with representatives from clusters to ensure a smooth transition. Training sessions and guides will be created in time for the new module's release.
Why change
eTendering is more than 10 years old. The replacement module will be more secure and integrated with buy.nsw.
Suppliers will have a more streamlined experience, making it easier for them to do business with NSW Government.
What won't change
The way each NSW Government agency follows its own processes and uses internal systems won't change.
What will be the impact for buyers
After go-live, buyers will no longer have access to eTendering. All procurement activities will live on buy.nsw.
It's important all buyers have a buy.nsw account. If you haven’t yet, you can sign up now.
What will be the impact for suppliers
The new module will integrate with their buy.nsw account, meaning less time spent filling out fields.
After go-live, suppliers will no longer have access to eTendering.
Currently, tender notifications sit on buy.nsw and suppliers need to go to eTendering to respond. When the new module is live, this extra step won’t be needed.
